Who is behind Medley?

Who writes these pages

The same person writes the code and the words. Medley is published by Max Bryselbout, an individual rather than a company: there is no marketing department, no outside copywriter, no agency behind the pages you are reading. When a page describes how an upload behaves on a saturated network, or why a video takes a minute to become playable, it is the author of the code explaining it.

That is also what makes the editorial line sustainable: nothing here has to be approved by anyone, so nothing forces us to write what is false. Where a competitor does something better, the pages say so. The full identity of the publisher and of the host is in the legal notice.

The founding annoyance

It starts from something you already know: after a wedding, a party, a birthday, the best photos are scattered across the guests' phones. The group chat compresses them, transfer links expire, the shared album demands an account half the room does not have. Nobody ever leaves with the complete album.

The problem is not the guests' goodwill: it is the gesture we ask of them. Install an app, create an account, recover a password, all of it at midnight with a drink in one hand. Nobody does that. Medley is the simplest answer we found: one shared album, one QR code, and everyone uploads and takes everything home, with no app and no account.

The technical commitments

These are not selling points: they are design constraints, and holding them costs something.

• No account for guests. Everything happens in the phone's browser: scan, upload, look, download. A first name is enough to sign your photos, and it grants the right to delete your own. An album link is a key: whoever holds it gets in, whoever does not, does not. No directory of users, therefore no file of people to protect.
• Photos stay in the European Union. Hosted with OVH in France, GDPR compliant, no facial recognition, no advertising. That is an infrastructure choice, not a checkbox: the detail is on the hosting and GDPR page.
• Your photos are not the product. Uploaded content remains the property of its authors, and it serves only to provide the service: displaying it and returning it to the people who have access to the album. Nothing is resold, nothing is exploited elsewhere. It is written in the legal notice and in the privacy policy.
• Time as a form of respect. Your memories are not held hostage: no countdown a few weeks after the party, no ransom on original quality. The album is kept at least until December 31, 2026. Nothing is deleted without notice, and the whole album can be downloaded at any time.

Where we are

Medley is young and moving fast: albums shared by QR code, photos and videos, download of the entire album, reactions and comments, a guest book where guests leave a word, their voice or a video, a “Live” mode to project the album during the party, and a free QR sign maker. Medley is in its test phase: unlimited photos and videos, in original quality, Live slideshow included, and nothing to pay. The detail is on the pricing page.

What comes next is built from the feedback of the first weddings, birthdays and company events that trust us. That is the point of the test phase: watching the product behave at real events, with real saturated networks and real guests in a hurry, before freezing anything.
